Maui facts

1 Maui was a brave man who pulled the sun to bring longer days
2 Maui pulled a island out from the ocean to make New Zealand
3 Maui is a clever demigod
Maui felt angry with his brothers not letting him go fishing. Because he took up to much room in the boat. Maui proved them wrong by catching a fish.

    Great start to the programme, well done for completing your first activity! I like how you've used your prior knowledge on Maui for your facts. Well done! Could you tell me from reading the story about Maui pulling up the giant fish, what are some facts about Maui in the short story? Think about how he felt when his older brothers weren't allowing him to fish with them. What did he do to prove them wrong? Read through the story and see what you think :)
