I think they look the same because they have a door and a window and a roof and walls.
I think they look different because my house has bricks glass windows concrete driveway doesn't have Maori carvings at the front.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
Hey James,
ReplyDeleteThis is Jade C from the Summer Learning Journey team!
I can see that you are starting to go through the activities in week 1! Remember that you can also do other activities in any other weeks, the order doesn't matter so it all depends on you!
I like how you've found differences and similarities of Wharepuni and your own house. It's true that our modern house has more fancy glass windows and strong doors to keep us safe! Wharepuni also has windows and doors but not as fancy and strong like our houses!
Yes, our houses don't have Maori carvings or any other Maori traditional artworks in front of the house. Although, we could buy Maori artworks and hang them inside or outside of our houses... would you want Maori artworks in your house?
I enjoyed reading and commenting on your blog post, I look forward to reading more :)
All the best,
Jade C.
