Parihaka DLO

This the Parihaka DLO that I made today I gathered most of the stories, read them and put them all on a drawing to post.

The hard part about this was getting the stories to fit on the drawing.

The easy part was reading because it didn't take long.

Tangata Whenua DLO

week we have been doing reading

We had these audiobooks to listen too while we read the story on the chromebook. You can see on the DLO that there is pictures about the stories I read. I like working in Tangata whenua because you can listen to the audio and read.

The Treaty Of Waitangi was made by the Maori and British people to declare now wars and peace.

The hardest part about this DLO was finding the right images (pictures) to fin and put into my DLO

The easy part was it was fun to make it cause you can do the text colors and make it any style you want it to be

The Old RailWay

I was on the most  staggering hike one day, my feet were flaming in pain. But then  suddenly scary noise , I felt like a old man because my bones were chattering. I checked what it was, a tall black figure and was slim as a pencil, was staring at me like, well whatever that thing was, it was like he  saw a ghost.

I checked behind me and I saw another black tall figure staring demently at me I said “who are you people?’ “ A deep raspy voice replies “YOU ARE ONE YOU ARE ONE” I felt shaken like I was on a roller coaster. I was thinking deeply of what you are one means. Then the two black figures disappeared

in the blink of an  eye.

I felt shaken I quickly called the police desperately. Then there was no connection. The sky turned black, then white for about a millisecond. I thought I was in a demonic dream. I ran back home as fast as I can I ran like there was no tomorrow. Then the sky turned black again but this time it was longer it as about for 10 seconds and then went. t

This time I felt shaken to the bone...

I called the police again and there was no signal I went to sleep with a pounding migraine thinking what just happened. The next day I rang the police and the signaled worked. A few months later the black figures have been caught on camera the black sky nether appeared again….

Wanted poster Pigeon impossible

Witness: COKE LOLLIPOP MAN

Today we watched a video called Pigioen impossible There were 4 choices I picked the wanted poster and this is a we bit about the story.

There was an agent called Walter he was on a mission it dident tell us the mission he was on. There was a pigeon on a seat the pigeon went in his work computer and started going crazy. There were guns shooting and rockets. And then then Walter chucked the bagel up in the air and it hit the rocket button. The rocket shooted up in the air and was going to Moscow so agent Walter stopped it With is computer guns and It blew up into little pieces.

The easy part was getting the wanted part and the things about agent Walter.
The hard part was making agent Walter it was really challenging and it was really figitey.

Hide n Tree?

You may be wondering why does the title have tree in it.
Well you will see later on in the story.

One cloudy day a hide n seek game has started at lunch time.
I joined once again there was a different seeker now.
So It will probably be a change. This hide n seek game is outside.
Which means more creative hiding spots.

You know what that means… I became one with the trees.
I hid in a small box which fits me perfectly.
The box was in between trees, so I put my hands up like a tree and, waited and waited and waited.
I could see in the distance the seeker I stayed in my hiding spot.

Then I heard “there he is!”
I bolted Out of my hiding spot as fast as I can but it wasn't enough. To outrun the seeker.
They found me so I was seeking with them.
I could feel it that i will get caught in the first five minutes.

Any ways I didn't expect to win because I was in a very easy to spot hiding place.
I didn't have high expectations to win but anyways It was really fun.

I was on my winning streak oh well next time!

This is my hide n seek story 2 I guess. This was really funny.
The challenging part was thinking of a unique hiding spot that was funny in a way.
The easiest part was thinking of the title because hide n and then tree and then it cliked hide n tree.

Kindness

Love  is an infection spreading all around the world.

It brings happiness to your front door everyday.

Little things can make a big difference

The world needs kindness.

What I know about this novel study (Book report)

Over the last six weeks I have been reading this novel called Because of Walter.
 The book was writin by Carol Kruger Illustrated by Mary Dahl Winton.
 We have been learning to ask qustions about the book.
 I have made a few study about the book including what was the aouthors backstory and what she will be in 1 year 5 years ect.
 Its Qwit a strong book and got a lot of feelings it about an a kid whos in foster care and wants to get adopeted but she cant later one in the book she had a sister at the foster care house next to a beach. The girl who wantrs to get adopted is Kaysha. The foster care parents are called the Parkers.

Detail planing

This week we have been tasting hokey pokey also know as honey comb toffe they call hokey pokey in Zealand. This is the five senses that we done.

Hokey pokey

What is hokey pokey? Hokey Pokey is fairly new. It was made at 1950 it was originated in New Zealand so yes it is a traditional food in New Zealand. Do you know that crunchie bar from cadburys no? Well if you don’t know it is it is Hokey Pokey in the inside and chocolate on the outside so now you know it? Good. It is really hard no seriously IT IS HARD well maybe not that hard. Anyway it is gold because it’s the golden syrup that makes it gold and shiny. It is thin and very crunchy. Did you know that hokey pokey ice cream is only made in New Zealand.

What is a Proverb

It is better to turn back than to get lost:

What does it mean?

When you don't know where you're going it is good to turn back.
So you don't get lost in the nature and the modern city.
If you’re lost it is better to turn back to someone you know.

This proverb is from Russia I picked this proverb because it was simple and
dident have that much
complex
words that I don't know.
The hard part was to get the sentence down to.

The easy part was to write it down.

Sea turtle's

Blurb: This week we are explaining turtles this is the life cylcel of a turtle. The hard part was to get the self check done. The easy part was to do the self check.

Sea turtles have been around for 150 million years that's when the dinosaurs have been around to this day they are still alive. But leatherback turtles are endangered.

The female lay’s 50 - 200 eggs 800 hatch 50 % make it to land (sand) 50 % won’t make it to sea. 20 % make to sea.

The baby turtles feel very vulnerable to small fish up to sharks so basically everything will try to eat them. If they do feel vulnerable the baby will hide under sea weed so they can hide from sea birds.

When the turtle is growing up the turtle was the size of a dinner plate and now the turtle are nearly the size of a dinner table ( leatherback turtle).  The turtle doesn't have that much predators to worry about just sharks and the odd killer whale.

When the nearly full grow adult make’s adult stage they have survived the odds of shark, fish, killer whale and a hole lot of marine animals. After two long decades the female can breed. Approximately the female lay’s 100 eggs a year.

This is the life cycle and explain about turtles 10% survive to a full grow adult so its really tough to be a sea turtle you get 20% don’t hatch 50% make water and 2% make a full grow adult and has survived the odds in conclusion it’s hard to be a sea turtle overcoming these challenges.

How does it work?

How does scissors work? First we grab the scissors by its sharp blades but on the side of the blade. Then we want to put your thumb and your index finger in the handle. When your comfortable with the position of your fingers then your wanting to push down on the handle and then it will snip whatever you want. paper is very easy to cut. Then you could type on you tube cutting tutorial then you could cut shapes out or your name and other cool stuff.

Today we had to write about how does scissors work. I know people probably know how to work scissors but little kids probably don't know how to use them but who knows maybe a grown man doesn't know how to work scissors! So here is how to work scissors.

What I learned about day of the dead

Day of the dead is different to Halloween. Day of the dead has... alters. Alters are when there loved ones have pasted and the have pictures of them of what they look like. If you don't have a picture of them there spirit wont come back so they no longer with you. Halloween is a day to scare and fear. Halloween came from Ireland. Day of the dead is happens and rember your family and friends who have past away. Halloween is a evil spirit they say. The simmalaretes are skulls, food (candy), They are both as celebration and they both have decorations. The challenging part was finding real facts. And the easy part was

day of the dead is a Mexican,Latin american and European.
the day of of the dead is originated from Mexico and central America. Thats all that I know 
about day of the dead I am so excited to learn more about day of the dead. There is a kid called Thao and he is Brazil and I think he celebrates day of the dead. I will do another blog post about day of the dead.

The Big Kindom

One windy dark day a cowboy stepped into another dimension with a huge abandoned castle

towering the clouds. A black feathered raven scouting around the huge abandoned castle. The

man stepped inside the creaky mysteries castle. With droplets of water coming down. Then

suddenly a storm risen above! It got winder and his cape fluttering in the cold wind, shadows

everywhere making it pitch black. But then the raven flew down like a bomb and landed gently

in the cowboys hands it felt fluffy but nothing put a smile on his face. Then the storm went

away everything was bright again except for the...abboned castle. Then red flowers covered

the field in a blink of an eye but then the raven disappeared...

Blurb: in reading we learnt to do wow words. It was fun learning new wow words. Some of the words I dident even know.
