Fractions of a Number
Today I done fraction practice this one was easy because you just divide and times the fraction to get the answer.
The hard part was to get the hang of the strategy because it looked hard but it was actually quite easy.
The easy part was getting the hang of it, because to get the hang of stuff for me I just have to go over and over with the question.
Here is a picture of my workings....

Well done for getting this work done, I look forward to checking your answers next week. I think the best way to learn the strategy is to remember that the "times by" symbol ( x ) means "of". So if we have 2 x 3 this means 2 of 3. It's the same with fractions: 1/2 x 4 is the same as "half of 4" which equals 2. If I have just confused you ... sorry! I can go over it again next week.
