Method:
Equipment
- Sugar
- Baking soda
- Golden syrup
- Table spoon
- Saucepan/pot
- Cookie cutter
- Baking paper
- Bunsen burner
- Get your equipment
- Wash your hands
- Set up the Bunsen burner
- Put the saucepan/pot on top of the Bunsen burner
- Light the Bunsen burner
- Add 5 tablespoons of sugar to the pot
- Add 2 tablespoons of Golden Syrup to the pot.
- Melt and mix
- Turn off the gas and add one tablespoon of baking soda and mix
- Scrape the hokey pokey on to the baking paper
- Let it cool for a 1min
- Press a cookie cutter into the hokey pokey
