Weirdest Sports

Today we had a look at worlds weirdest sports, I found out that there is a sport called shin kicking. Shin kicking is a sport where men and girls and a 1 on 1 shin kicking brawl. To win the game of shin kicking you have to kick the other opponents shins until they drop to the ground, so that's how to win a game of shin kicking.

There is also an annual toe wrestling champions ship, insist that crazy? Toe wrestling And if you win the champion ships you could be in the chance to win 1 million pounds that's a lot of money for such a weird sport . There is also an annual toe wrestling champions ship, insist that crazy? And you would be surprised about how many more wired sports out there that a even more weirder than toe wrestling. Here are a few pictures of the toe wrestling...

My writing goals

In my writing goal this term I want my spelling to be better than average same with my vocabulary in my story's and writings. What I need to work on in punctuation, commmas most times I forget to put  commas down in my writing to create pauses.

What I need to do next time for my spelling is re - reading my writing and checking the spell check, and taking out boring words and putting in more interesting and helpful words to understand my writing in my story.

What I need to improve on my punctuation, I need to find the right time to use commas and capital letters, and when i'm listing things I need to improve on making comma's between the words that i'm listing, and when i'm expressing a felling of something I need to use exclamation marks as well when i'm expressing my feelings.

Vocablary, when im writting I need to keep the reader hooked to the story and keep the reader interested in what my story is about and what im writing about, and I will try to begin with words that how im felling about.

Bird Masks

 Bird Mask’s

This week we have been going to make bird masks for drama plays. We can bring materials from home, we also have to make the material breathable, we also have to look at mask designs. My mask design would look kind of like a scarecrow and a bird. We need eye holes to see outside the mask so we can see, I will put a picture up of the mask that I would like to make in a few or more weeks. Here it is…

I will call the bird a raptor mask that I'm gonna make in these weeks.

We also down a bird dance on the stage, in the bird dance we had to bend down and put your nose out like a beak and then walk around the stage looking like a bird, it was funny and everyone looked stupid and silly.

This is a new update to my post...

I have now finished my mask, they way I made it was with lots of clourful cardboard and cutting out the shape that I want the mask to look like

Plan:

Blue lightly thicker card (cardboard)

White lightly thicker card (cardboard)

Yellow lightly thicker card (cardboard)

Sellotape

String

Glue stick

Pen

Stapler

Scissors

Here is a link to how I made and drawled out the mask.

This is an update to my bird mask post...

Last week we finished our mask's, my mask looked like a bird with a big beak and lots of blue feathers.

My mask is breathable and wearable which puts me at the level at drama. It has eye holes to see out of the mask and it has, I have reached diff rent types of birds and found a step by step video to make my mask of youtube, and it turned out great.

Here is some pictures of us working on our bird masks in drama...

Show time! - last week we have done our show with our bird masks, our show was about a robbery the robber was trying to steal some gum. But me and Truby took the robber Kryzlah down. We had to put music in the background and we put lighting on the stage to make it more cinematic.

Counting the beat - Ukuleles

This week in counting the beat, we have been learning about ukuleles and recorders, ukuleles are a type of stringed instrument, it more looks like a mini guitar.

What I know about ukuleles...

  • Stringed instrument

  • 4 strings - nylon

  • Instrumental art piece

  • Related to the guitar family

  • Came from Hawaii

  • It has a sound hole

  • There are lots of different types and sizes

There are 4 types of ukuleles the saprano, the concert, tenor, and the baritone each of these ukuleles have a diffrent type of sound and tone, the saprano is your usual and common type of ukulele to be found and is the smallest, the concert, the concert is a bigget type of ukulele sort of like a saprano, but the sound doesnt change much between the saprano and the concert, the tenor is a much larger version of all the other ukuleles and sounds deeper than the other two.

The baritone, the baritone is the largest ukulele you can find it is a much deeper and bigger ukulel than the other one, much people will mistake it for a guitar or a small bass guitar for its 4 strings.

Quick facts about the ukulele:

1. The ukulele has 4 strings

2. The ukulele strings are made out of nylon, nylon is much more kinder to your fingers other than metal strings like on guitars.

Here are 3 glossary terms of the ukulele...

The head, the head is the top part of the ukulele which is wear the tuning heads are and where the strings connect at.

The neck, the neck is the part that goes up - towards the head of the guitar, the neck is allso where all the strings are aswell

The strings, the strings are on the neck and the strings are made out of nylon which is kinder to your finger tips.
