Median, Mean, Mode

This week we have been learning about Median, Mean, Mode.

Definition Median: So when there is a bunch of numbers you have to fin the median - (middle) to see the Median you have to count each numbers of ether side of the median number and see if there is the same amount of numbers on each side. 

                  

e.g: 1 2 4 2 8 9 0 = 2 because there is the same amount of numbers on each side

Mode definition: So if there is a 7 two times in a number sequence and there is no other double up of a number 7 will be your mode.

e.g: 1 2 7 4 7 8 it would be 7  because there is a double up of it

Mean definition: To find out the mean of the number sequence you have to add, and divided the numbers until you get the answer.

e.g: 4 5 2 so first you add the numbers 4 + 5 + 3 =12 then you dived 12 by 3 times because there are three numbers to add up so 12 / 3 = 4 because 4 x 3 = 12

Gold and Mining

Today I finished my gold rush slide. We learned about the gold rushes in New Zealand. Most of the information is in this slide about mining and were it is found and all of that.

Questions About Mars

1. When Can a mission to Mars happen: It can happen when Mars is the closest to the earth it happens every 26 months

2. What are two geological features of Mars?: Mars has mountains, and it has some volcanoes

3. What is one possible solution to the story about oxygen on Mars?: There is a rover called (MOXIE) that produces oxygen on mars

4. If it doesn’t rain on Mars, where does the water come from? It is normal like earth, it's just the rain is thicker.

5. How will people get food on Mars? What is a possible solution? When they land on mars there will be stored food already there for them

Bed Bugs

Today we did a literacy task. I decided to do kiwi kids news, on kiwi kids news there were news articles one of them were bed bugs., so I wanted to watch the video. It taught me alot about bed bugs. Bed bugs look weird and are disgusting because they suck your blood and grow babies on your skin.

This was interesting because I thought bed bugs were fake...

Cooking - Savourier Muffins

Today we baked some savourie muffins. We had to follow the steps of making the muffins. 

I didn't really like the muffins because they weren't really good because I thought the were going to be actual muffins but the weren't not.

Ingrediants: 1T sugar 1 egg, beaten, 1 + 1/4 cup milk, 2T creamed corn, 2T tamato relish, 2T oil, 1T baking powder, 2 cups flour, 1/2 sliced bacon, 1/2 onion, 1/2 cup of cheese.

1. What was your favourite part of this kete?: I liked the drawing part  because you can be very creative with it and learning more about

2. Were you successful in completing your "Hero's Journey" comic?:  Yes because I got the villan the hero and its journey to save the day.

3. What was something you would change for the next time?: Try something different like a different style of comic.

4. Give 1 example of how you showed your CARR values in this kete: Respecting the equipment that has been given to me.

5. Any positive/thoughtful/helpful feedback for Miss Birtch?: I think she did a great job at running the comic strip kete.

Digital Nerd boy

This is my digital comic of nerd boy that I done on the paper. I like doing it on paper because you can get creative and you dont have a limted range of tools like on pixton. But pixton is good for just a quick comic maker but on paper it takes time and practice.
