Arts kete - Comic strip

Today we finished our arts kete. I chose comic strip, so in my arts kete class we sketched and drawed our idea down on paper, after that we got giving our good copy paper to do our final drawing.

The WhaleRider

Who directed Whale Rider?: Nike Caro 

Who was the writer?: Witi Ihimaera

What I thought of the whalrrider was that it was interesting to learn about paikia and how she rode the whale becuase it was really interesting.

Hot Setting

Hot setting is where you ask people questions about questions about the stories that you have been 

Why did you decide to pull the kid out the water?

Why is Benny and his friend, friends?

Why did Benny run away from his friend for no reason?

Badge Of Honour

Matariki

Matariki is a legend and a Moari tradition.

He appears at 16 of june all the way  to 30th of June.

To celebrate this tradition we go down to the beach and see the 7 stars of Matariki.

We can also do a hangi down there for the food.

Most people have a feast down at the beach.

Which could also be a buried hangi or any other type of food.

And spending time with family and friends.

In Maori today we had to explain something that you do in the Moari.

Matariki tradition.

I came up with the time of the tradition and what happens at Matriki time.

The Bullet

Today I read a story called the bullet. It was about a boy who found a bullet chucked out of a car and then he gets in a problem, with his classmates.

The hard part about this was understanding the questions.

The easy part was making the google drawing and putting the text in and that.

Picture Dictation and Freeze Frame

Today we done a freeze frame and picture dictation.

Freeze frames are when you close your eyes in the crowd and the people who are going to do the freeze frame and picture dictation. And we done a thing called a role on the wall. The activity we done for that was we were giving a piece of paper with a ice berg on it, and we could write under the water on the ice berg what people don't no about me and on top of the ice berg we write what we can see.

Arts Kete - Comics

Today we had our arts kete. For my arts kete I picked comics, because i'm alright at making comics. and  I like to draw them. The site that we used the comics strip on was called pixton. On this site you can make comic strips and add your own words, backgrounds, panels and more.

So the conclusion is that I really like to make and draw comics because I like to draw and it make me better at drawing...

Decade Research Project

Philippine Independents Day

Today is the Philippine Independents day. To say good morning in the Philippine's it is Magandang Umunga. This week we are learning about the Philippine Independents day. It is Friday, 12 June. This holiday is to celebrate the independents that the Philippines have. This day means that everybody in the Philippines can have a day off. The food that they eat on this day is... Pulled pork, Stir fry noodles,  greens with shrimp, chicken pot pies and much more. 

Benny

This week we have been reading. I choose Benny because it was a simple title and it was one of the easy task's out of all the story's.

The hard part about this activity was doing the follow-up activity which is the picture up on the top of the post.

The easy part was reading it because it was interesting.
